How can I sleep better with my significant other’s snoring? – I’m a light sleeper!?

I have used ear plus, taken a sleeping pill (which I don’t want to do every night), turned him over (which doesn’t always stop his snoring) and even gone into the other bedroom to catch a few zzz’s. I’m going to look into those nose strips advertised next. Surgery right now is not an option. Help!

If he is snoring, he could have a sleep disorder. Snoring is a sign of sleep problems. Sleep problems keep one from reaching all stages of sleep. Failure to reach all stages can result in many health problems including but not limited to weight gain, excessive daytime fatigue, headaches, heart problems, lung problems, brain damage and hypertension just to name a few.

Go to this website and fill out the quiz. You can have him do it or you can fill it out for him. Print off the results if the score is above 10 and take it to your doctor.

The point is that he may not be getting adequate sleep, and the snoring may indicate that, and you may not be getting adequate sleep because of him snoring. Some of the therapies can stop the snoring.

How can I help my boyfriend to stop snoring?

My 31 year old boyfriend snores like a pig and it is not doing our relationship any favours!

He had his nose broken a few years back which may not help but his snoring is getting louder and louder. Does anyone have any ideas on what kind of treatments we can get from a chemist or any advice on how to quieten him down?!

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

How can I treat this problem?

I been having panic / anxiety attack symptoms when I lay down, trying to fall asleep…
I visited an acupunturist. the doctor told me that my lung is like narrow that is why I feel something is being blocked when I fall asleep and she gave me herbal medicine..
The blood test came out good when i did it about 4-5 months ago… however, I’ve been having that symptoms.. migranes, anxiety attack like symptoms, when I lay down, trying to sleep.

Could it be sleep apnea? the doctor told me that I am not chobby and I don’t snore so it cannot be…
Then what else could it be? how can I treat this problem? How can I treat this naturally?

Maybe you need to get your bloods retested if you are still having symptoms.

I’m sorry, but your MD is wrong. I didn’t snore, but I went for a sleep study & found out I had over 80 mini episodes of stopping breathing & needed a CPAP machine at night. It stopped my daytime fatigue & improved my sinus condition.

I suggest you get a 2nd opinion with a pulmonologist who can check your lungs.

Good luck.

sore throat snoring

unbelievably sore throat?

well yesterday morning i woke up and my throat felt really sore and dry, i thought it was because i had been snoring lol, but all through the night i woke up every single hour because my throat was so painful, it feels really dry and gritty and is too tight to be able to cough, ive had some warm drinks but what else could i do?

Awww. Have you tried cool ice lollies? This should help soothe your throat.

Is it red at the back where your tonsils are?

Do you have white specks on them?

If so, this sounds like Tonsilitis which may mean you might need to visit your GP to prescribe you some Antibiotics. At least if you go to your GP for an examination then it’ll put your mind at ease and you can continue to live your life as normal.

Hope you’re feeling better soon :-)

sinus conjestion?

I only get a stuffy nose at night when I’m in bed. During the day I’m fine. What can I do to get rid of this problem. I’ve tried nasel sprays and they don’t work, I have also used the Breathe Right nasel strips, they don’t work either. Help, my husband says I also snore and he can’t sleep because of it.

You might be having an allergy, probably to dustmites which reside in your sheets.

Try sunning your mattress, washing your sheets in hot water.

You may want to go for allergy testing to confirm it.

i took a stray in, can it give my cat a disease?

I took a stray in from outside about a week ago and I do not want to keep it I just need to find it another home but its not easy, I have a 2 yr old female cat and Ive had her vaccinated when she was a kitten then again when she was 1, I was wondering if she was vaccinated can she catch anything from the stray? she hasnt been to the vet in a year and I wanted to know if i should take her in every year even if she doesnt need any vaccines. I watched the kitten for a few days and I made it stay at my brothers because i was nervous it could get my cat sick, but after watching it and checking him out he doesnt seem to have any issues except that he snores really loud and sometimes sneezes, (my cat does too anyway becuase she has reoccuring URI when she gets stressed my vet says it will happen). So does this sound alarming, should i be worried about the stray giving my cat a disease?

I would keep the new cat away from your other cat until he has been tested for FIV and FeLV. These are two potentially deadly and contagious diseases that most cats are not vaccinated against. FIV is transmitted through bite wounds from cat to cat and FeLV can be transmitted through sharing food and water dishes, litter boxes etc. Most times, kittens do not show signs or symptoms of illness with these diseases. The only way to tell is to do a blood test. In addition FIP is another contagious disease that can be dangerous. There is a test for this, but it isn’t always accurate. You might want to contact your local shelter and explain the situation. Maybe they could take the kitten in or agree to test it at no cost if you agree to keep the kitten. That way you would feel at ease about having the kitten around your cat knowing that he is healthy.

You should take your cat to the vet once a year if you can for a checkup and any shots that are needed. This will help you to find diseases before they become advanced and will save you money in the long run.

how could I stop snoring?

My boyfriend can’t sleep next to me. He says that I as soon as fall asleep, I snore so loud he just can’t take it anymore and has to move to another bedroom .i tried those things you tape on your nose but (according to my boyfriend) they don’t work. Any suggestions?

90% of snoring is throat caused just 10% nasal so nasal strips are mostly ineffective
A simple solution that worked for my wife is the stop snore ring
It’s an acupressure ring worn on the little finger and it has stopped her snoring completely
If she forgets to put it on i have to wake her up as she snores immediately without it
Take a look at the website there are hundreds of testimonials and its really cheap
