Im 24 weeks pregnant and just started snoring horribly, well as far as what my fiance tells me lol, I been having really bad sinus lately and I have been extremely tired. I was wondering if that breath right stip would help, and I was going to try and take some tylenol sinus before I go to bed, my doctor said I could take it, so I was asking for some advice on some things I could do to help my problem for my fiance lol thanx for all answers!
the snoring could be from the sinus problem as the channels around nose close up, try the breath right strip first, some tylenol sinus before bed if that don’t work,
Laying certain ways can make some people snore ,and as you are pregnant you could be laying on your back more and this could cause snoring
I wanted to take the time and show you how you can get snoring relief. A lot of people have this problem and don’t realize how easy it can be to fix it. There is this general misconception that you have to invest a lot of time and put in a lot of work if you want to stop this for good. Some people are even led to believe that they have to go in for surgery and get tissue removed out of their throat. None of this is actually true and only in small minority of cases is that necessary. I’m going to help you get snoring relief with the best snoring product that I have come across.
The first thing you have to realize about the problem is that there are only so many variables that you can control. Besides surgery, you can’t control the loose tissue in your throat that vibrates. A specific thing happens when you sleep, but the muscles that hold your tongue go loose and your tongue presses back closer to your throat. Lastly, your jaw goes unsupported as well and puts pressure on the throat. Out of all these characteristics, all you can control is your jaw. This is how you can find snoring relief.
The best snoring product that I have come across is the chin strap. It is a relatively simple device to use. It wraps around your chin and the top of your head. It provides the support your jaw needs and will allow your throat to remain wide open.
Snoring is the result of blocked air passages. All cures for snoring revolved around clearing the blockages in the breathing passages. When you are awake the throat muscles keep the throat and air passages open. When you sleep the throat tissues relax and the airways become smaller. Hence you snore.
Get Good Sleep
The best tip to stop snoring is to get good quality sleep. Getting good sleep does not only prevent snoring, it’s good for the body as well because lack of sleep results in the weakening of our immune system. Sleeping is when our bodies repair itself and builds up resistance to attacks. You should have regular sleeping times and have undisturbed sleep as much as possible. Having these you will be better able to follow other tips to stop snoring on your own.
Don’t drink alcoholic beverages, take sleeping pills, tranquilizers, or antihistamines right before going to sleep, they will cause your muscles to relax and limit your air passage way.
Sleep on your side or stomach, instead of your back. Experts say when you sleep on your back, your tongue falls back into your throat, blocking full airflow and causing snoring.
Don’t take any sleeping medications, tranquilizers, or antihistamines just before going to sleep. These drugs can cause the muscles to relax and limit the passage of air in your airway. Antihistamines are especially known to exacerbate snoring. They also dry up sinus mucous, hardening it so that the natural flow of sinus drainage cannot get through and can lead to sinus infections.
An exercise and weight loss regime is the only way to resolve the problem. If you are very overweight you may also suffer from sleep apnea which is when the airways become so blocked that breathing stops for a short time at frequent intervals during sleep.
Excessive Weight
When you are overweight, you often have fatty deposits around your neck and throat. This can lead to your airways being blocked while you’re asleep, leading to snoring.
Think of it like this – if you have a double chin, that extra tissue presses down on your throat while you’re lying down.
Obviously, the solution to this problem is to lose some of the extra weight you’re carrying around.
Try wearing a small adhesive strip over the bridge of the nose as you sleep. These strips lift the nasal passages open. Since snoring is always related to mouth breathing, keeping your nostrils clear reduces snoring by promoting breathing through the nose.
If you are a smoker, stop smoking, if that is not feasible then avoid smoking right before you go to bed. Smoking causes inflammation and swelling of the throat.
Other than surgical solutions to stop snoring, there are also other non-invasive ways of how to stop snoring. Some of the more creative ways of how to stop snoring is to use a pillow to either elevate your head or to prop you in such a way that you do not change the position where you do not snore.
Snoring, Allergies and Sinuses Disappear with Raw Food
Snoring disturbs your own sleep and annoys your partner. It afflicts 25% of men and women younger than 40 and more than 50% of the older population. It is no wonder that there are over 300 products on the market which claim to cure snoring. Unfortunately, most of these products may not work for you. Snoring is caused when the throat relaxes during sleep so that the air flow from breathing causes the throat tissues to vibrate. Other snorers suffer from a serious condition called obstructive sleep apnea which occurs when the throat constricts during sleep and causes a person to stop breathing. Blocked nasal passages or inherited traits such as a long uvula or floppy soft palette also lead to snoring. The problem faced by snoring consumers is that products to stop snoring may work for one person but not another. Therefore, before purchasing any category of product listed below, you need to determine why you snore, especially since over-the-counter products do not cure sleep apnea. For those who only snore when they sleep on their backs, special shirts or pillows are the least expensive cure. You can either purchase a shirt with a tennis ball sewed into the back, or pin a ball to one of your own shirts. The ball painfully prods you when you roll onto your back during sleep, prompting you to turn to your side. There are also special pillows designed to stop you from rolling onto your back. If changing your sleeping position doesn’t work, and your snoring is not caused by sleep apnea, the most effective non-surgical treatment is a mouthpiece or mouth guard. This appliance will position your tongue and palette so that it provides a larger passage for air flow. Mouthpieces can be purchased on-line, at a drug store, or can be custom made by a dentist. The least effective snoring treatment is any spray which claims to prevent snoring by softening or moistening the throat. Snoring is not caused by a dry throat so the sprays do nothing to stop the problem and may have undesirable side effects. Those relying on natural methods can purchase aromatherapy or acupressure devices although there is no medical evidence that they work. The 10% of individuals whose snoring is caused by blocked nasal passages can choose from external or internal nasal dilators. The least expensive product is the nasal strip, which is a piece of adhesive worn over the bridge of the nose while sleeping. An internal dilator is a flexible piece of plastic which opens the nose from the inside. It effectively decreases snoring volume, but is uncomfortable to use. With all the anti-snoring products on the market, it is tempting to try sprays, gel strips, or magic rings. However, if one wants results, the most effective products to stop snoring are either dental mouthpieces or products designed to help you sleep on your side. If your snoring is caused by blocked nasal passages, nasal dilators can reduce snoring. Other products may have attractive packaging, and alluring testimonials, but only affect your pocketbook, not your snoring.

The last three weeks I’ve had bronchitis and a sinus infection but am on the tail end of my second round of antibiotics. All syptoms are gone EXCEPT my nasal passages closing when I lie down at night. My left is the worst culprit. I’ve already had surgery for a deviated septum and this wasn’t happening before I got sick. Up to last night, I had taken Afrin (which is lovely) for about 5 nights (none during the day) but I know you’re not supposed to take it more than 5 days or your sinuses become dependant on it. I didn’t sleep at all last night from dry-mouth and snoring myself awake (dont normally snore either). Nothing is draining from my sinuses (for instance when I blow my nose) and they open back up (at least partially) when I get up. Any ideas on what I can do? Due to the severe nature of my bronc/sinus infection I’ve already spent over $200 between dr visits and meds. I realllly dont want to go back if I dont have to.
Boy do I sympathize with you! I just went through this a few weeks ago and last week I finally got over it all. It sucks!
Afrin is amazing, I always use the menthol kind.
I suggest getting a humidifier/vaporizer that you can put liquid menthol into the chamber and use it for when you sleep. It sounds so simple to be true, but can actually help!

While you use the humidifier/vaporizer, also try using BreathRight strips for your nose. Here’s the website; they’re even offering a $2 off coupon, too! They come in different sizes and also offer a menthol stip that you put on the nose and then gently scratch the top and it releases menthol vapors.
Stop Your Snoring By Trying Natural Remedies Without The Snoring Aides
Snoring is a common sleep disorder that affects more men than women. Men over the age of 40 as well as being overweight are most prone to snoring. Snoring by itself has no immediate threat to your life, but leaving it untreated for a prolong period can pose severe health complications in for you and your spouse. Most common effects of snoring is the drop in energy level throughout the day, or day time fatigue. Snorer are also known to be easily tired than those who do not snore. Although right now there are many cures and remedies to help you stop snoring, some of them can be expensive and some potentially risky.
How do you effectively prevent snoring?
Snoring mouthpieces, CPAP machine are popular ways to prevent your snoring at night. But bear in mind that these devices can make your sleeping somewhat uncomfortable, also it is costly to own these machines. Whilst it prevents you from snoring, you could be losing sleep throughout the night due to not being able to sleep comfortably. And thus lead back to the same problem as when you are snoring. Another way is to undergo surgical procedure that will help elimintae your snoring. Costs and most notably the risk factors involved should be carefully calculated first before deciding this drastic course of action.
There are other natural remedies that are known to have successfully prevented snoring. Simply by changing your life style, or practicing the stop snoring exercise that aimed at tackling root cause can help with your snoring. There are advantages of these treatments as they are generally cheaper and more permanent compared to surgical procedure or snoring aides.
Why do I snore?
Major reason why people snore is because of a blocked nasal pathway, thus needing them to breathe through the mouth at night. Given that snoring is a telling sign of breathing problems, how you open up your nasal pathways before sleep and throughout the day can definitely help in preventing snoring. Try avoiding certain type of foods before you sleep. High fat dairy products such as a glass of full fat milk are knonwn to clog up your nasal passage; therefore avoid taking any of these products before bedtime will generally help you breathe better at night. You should also avoid drinking any full fat soy milk products. Opt for skim milk or none-fat alternatives instead.
Alcohol and cigarettes consumption right before sleep will also contributes to your snoring. These substances are a type of relaxant. Consuming them before bedtime will over relax your muscles in the mouth area excessively; thus causing a relaxed tongue to drop into the throat and hindering your proper breathing path. Leaving you to snore excessively throughout the night.
Essential oil also helps prevent snoring. Place a jar of marjoram oil and leave the cover open in your room at night will help you breathe easier. Alternatively, place a drop or two directly below the nostrils also promotes better breathing pattern. Consult an aroma therapist to find out which blend of essential oil can help you prevent snoring.
Another simple home remedy is the softness of your pillow. Try sleeping on a firmer pillow or sleeping without a pillow at all and see if it help with your snoring. Elevated head will help you unblock or unclog your nasal pathway.
My 3 year old daughter had a really bad cold, ear infection, and she was on antibiotics for 25 days. Now, she is left with a very congested nose. No dripping, no discharge, but she can`t breath properly, she sounds like snoring all the time. Very rattely noise from her nose. She gets vorse at night, and she was always a great sleeper, now wakes up, and wants to blow her nose but nothing in there. I tied steaming, saline spray, nothing works. She gets very hiper from decongestants, so I can`t give that to her. I am taking her for a Sinus CT on Friday, but I want some advice, maybe you can give me some good tips.
It could be an allergy or polyps. I get the same thing. My nasal cavities swell up and it feels like it’s full of gunk, but in fact it’s just the blood vessels getting too large.
My doctor prescribed a steroid that you inhale through your nose, but it’s pretty unpleasant and causes bleeding (the idea is that it breaks through the vessels). Also, if you accidentally swallow it it makes you gag… I’m not recommending that, but possibly something a little tamer but along the same lines?
The other thing I do (although I’m not sure how my doctor would feel about it) is inhale my asthma inhaler through my nose, using a straw. This reduces the swelling, especially if I’m trying to sleep and can’t because my nose feels so blocked.
Little known secrets to end sinusitis, head, face and jaw pain
Has anyone tried the my snoring solutions headgear? If so, how do you like/dislike it?
My boyfriend snores terribly and its very loud! I’ve tried getting him the strips, nasal spray, and throat spray and nothing has helped.
Research has shown that a whopping one in four people suffer from snoring. If that weren’t amazing enough, most of those afflicted believe there is nothing to be done for their condition. They don’t realize that a good night’s sleep is within their grasp. Some people are giving a new product called Snorezip a try, and are having great results.
Snorezip was developed to increase oxygen flow and reduce mucus. When oxygen flow is increased and mucus reduced, it has been proven that the incidence of snoring will also be greatly reduced, if not eliminated. This product may be just the thing to get those afflicted with snoring on the road to a restful sleep.
Snoring is not just an annoying habit, but can seriously threaten your health. Doctors claim that patients who snore are more likely to be fatigued, and are more susceptible to life threatening conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Snoring also increases the incidence of high blood pressure and metabolic syndrome. Snorezip, with its proven record of reducing incidence of snoring could help reduce this risk.
SnoreZip is very affordable and easy to use. Most snoring remedies involve the use of uncomfortable masks that must be worn at night. The sheer discomfort of these masks is enough to make most sufferers abandon such a program long before there is any benefit. Since SnoreZip is administered as an oral spray, there’s no excuse not to give it a try. Just spray SnoreZip into your mouth before you go to bed, and you could be minutes away from a good night’s sleep!

Which snoring prevention products work, if any, How would I know if they are effective if I can’t hear myself snore while I’m sleeping.
Most of the products, minus Breathe Right Strips, don’t really work. Sleeping at an incline helps. I had a roomie who snored terribly and went to the Doctor only to find out Nasal Polyps where the issue. If it’s loud and problematic, you may have a breathing problem that your Doc would be able to treat.
