Are there any home remedies for snoring ? I have this problem with snoring so loud I wake my self up at night?
and the nasal strips dont work and I havent found a spray that works that well either.
Have you seen a doctor about this? It sounds like you could have sleep apnea. Take a look at this website and see if it sounds like what you are experiencing.

Boot’s wax plugs are indeed the best and Rhianna says. They can be made to fit snugly and allow you to sleep through almost anything.
It seems as if my son cant stay in one place while he sleeps, he will literally end up on the opposite side of his bed. Okay so I know it’s perfectly normal to switch positions while asleep but why has he been getting out of his bed and climbing into mine in the middle of the night with his eyes shut. His bed is right next to mine. Like last night I was dead asleep and I was frightened by my son just falling at my feet. I was like omg r u okay? And his eyes where shut, I am assuming that maybe he was sleep walking. Kind of odd for a 2 yr old, don’t u think? Has any one ever gone through this before? One more thing that I might add he has been snoring too, this is something that hes never done before. I would really appreciate ur answers thanks.
A couple thoughts.
Why is he sleeping in your room?
Snoring can indicate a medical problem. My son was snoring, and my first thought was, “oh, how cute,” but then the doctor told me it can indicate a problem with tonsils and/or adenoids. He had his removed shortly after he started snoring, by the way.
He is now 6, and he does sleep walk a couple times a week. I always take him into the bathroom and try to get him to go, then get him back in his bed. I used to sleep walk as a kid, and I grew out of it.
Kids around 3 often get up and get into bed with their parents. It’s normal at that age, whether or not they are “sleep walking,” lots of kids do it. Just keep putting him back in his own bed.
how can snoring problems be fixed with out surgery?
There’s a good nasal spray your doctor can prescribe made for snoring. Might be worth a try. Otherwise, one of the most common causes of snoring is being overweight, even by just a few pounds.
My dog goes mad when someone knocks on the door and am wondering if anyone knows to break her from the habit. She gets walked regularly and is pretty well behaved, not lassie material. When in this mode she will not listen and takes a bit to go back to normal (asleep snoring). I believe this is fear related. She used to bark at people walking by but we managed to cure that trait. The only reason we cant cure this is because she does not listen or respond to voice commands when she is in this state. She eats a dry food mix with gravy as she is very sensitive to colourings etc.
Picking her up is a no go she weighs 60kgs will have to try the ratlle but as i have said before she really goes to the zone in this case, might try a water gun? The barking at passers by was just a bit of training and you knew it could be done but knocking/doorbells or postman and its going to take a miracle. I prefer the floor vibrating snoreing to the mayhem of the postman
You need to do some positive reinforcement training! One of the first things is to arrange some time so you can do some positive ‘flooding’, that is you get a ‘dog friendly’ friend to knock on the dog, (once, not continual knocking) while you are sitting in the room with your dog, totally ignore the knock, don’t react in any way, no looking, talking or touching her after trying this several time you should find (if you are doing it right) that she will bark, stop and then look at you, then you can calmly praise her, put her on a lead and then open the door to your friend, who must not fuss her, look at her or talk to her if she tries to jump up or bark, but your friend can calmly give a treat if she sits quietly. You may need to do this lots of times as some dogs are quicker than others and some owners are more consistent trainers than others.
The postman: In your dogs head ” some person has tried to break into her mums house, she has been very brave, very noisy and frightened them away, she knows that they nearly broke in because she can smell them”(on the letters) trouble is they keep coming back everyday, so she now has made a job for herself in protecting her mum and the home.
The reason your dog doesn’t listen is because she is frightened and has gone into reactive animal, she is no longer your ‘what ever her name is’ so you are wasting your time shouting at her.Rattles and water guns??? is that the way to retrain a frightened dog who is trying her best to protect you? Good job dogs are so forgiving of negative training methods!
Wearing noise-cancelling headphones and earplugs together?
Will that effectively block out heavy snoring?? I’m getting frustrated with my roommate
I’m looking to get a pair of relatively cheap headphones, around $30-35
YES i know, wrong category. but please, help a girl out
I advise you to get in ear bud headphones such as Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket, they will run you $60-$70, older ones $45. They cancel out noise very well.
My freinds boyfreind has a major snoring problem to point where she cant sleep at night. they’ve tried the patched but didnt seem to work do any of you know of other solutions that can if not stop but help reduce heavy snoring? any home remedies, medicines? TY!
My roommate snores really loud, and I’m sick of it! But I don’t want to suggest nose straps. Are there any natural ways to stop her from snoring while she’s sleeping? Like some old wives tales are home remedies xP I’ve heard of turning the persons head while she’s snoring. It’s works, but only for a few minutes. Anything else? :3 I want to do it while she’s sleeping, instead of telling her to do something. I’ve tried telling her to sleep on her side, but she turns in her sleep … Help!
++ I don’t want those silly answers that say “Punch her” or “Murder her”.
She knows that she snores like a bear xD She just can’t help it And I just want a few old wives tales that actually work x3
I would suggest you to record her snoring sound when she is in sleep. Then next day make her listen that sound & ask her what she feels about it. Ask her what she will do when somebody is making such sounds when you are sleeping? if she is against that snoring sound, just tell her that it is her snoring sound & you get disturbed when you are sleeping.
If she does not believe then take a video cum audio recording of her snoring habit and show it to her. Say her that if she can not do anything about it then better to visit any ENT specialist to get cured of her problem.
Note: Or better tell her to vacate your room & get any other new room mate(with no snoring problem).
