my wife always snored but now that she is pregnant and putting on a lot of weight its so bad that even sleeping in the next room is hard we have tried breath right strips, sinus washes sleeping with out a pillow sleeping with extra pillows .
the problem seems to be in the back of her throat
My ex-wife also had the exact same problem, she went to have her snoring checked at a clinic and was told she could either loose the weight and the fatty tissue would also retreat or have her nasal passage widened but it does not always work and is pain full. We slept at opposite ends of a 50 foot house me downstairs and her upstairs, still kept me awake. My ex did not loose the weight and had no operation and still snores like a beast
does anyone know if a stop snoring chin strap works?
I just found out that i snore during sleep from a friend. I read around on the net about snoring and some of the effects e.g sleep disturbances, and lack of energy. Most of the effects i suffer from. Can anyone tell me whats the best products to try that are inexpensive and not drugs or mouth pieces.
What is the best way to stop snoring at night when sleeping?
Tell me the best 3 way to stop snoring at night when sleeping?
* Sleep on your side. Prop an extra pillow behind your back so you won’t roll over. Try sleeping on a narrow sofa for a few nights to get accustomed to staying on your side.
* Sew a large marble or tennis ball into a pocket on the back of your pajamas. The discomfort it causes will remind you to sleep on your side.
* If you must sleep on your back, raise the head of the bed by putting bricks or blocks between the mattress and box springs. Or buy a wedge especially made to be placed between the mattress and box spring to elevate the head section. Elevating the head prevents the tongue from falling against the back of the throat.
* If you are heavy, lose weight. Excess fatty tissue in the throat can cause snoring.
* Don’t drink alcohol or eat a heavy meal within 3 hours before bedtime. For some reason, both seem to foster snoring.
* If necessary, take an antihistamine or decongestant before retiring to relieve nasal congestion (which can also contribute to snoring). [Note: Older men should check with their doctor before taking decongestants. Decongestants that have ephendrine can give older men urinary problems.]
* Get rid of allergens in the bedroom such as dust, down filled (feathered) pillows and bed linen (this may also relieve nasal congestion).
* Try over-the-counter “nasal strips”. These keep the nostrils open and lift them up, keeping nasal passages unobstructed.

Why does human snoring keep me awake, but doggie snoring puts me to sleep?
Is it because I’ve had 9 years with said canine? Is it simply because I take solace in doggie breath?
One thing is for sure; she snores louder and longer than any human ever could. So sound is definitely not a factor.
Oh, I am definitely weird. Whenever I cuddle up to my dog, she falls asleep and starts snoring, and I fall asleep shortly after whether I’m tired or not. It’s so weird.
She’s a mix, and she’s a bigger girl. 90 lbs of pure lovin’.
Does anyone have any suggestions/products for snoring?
I’m looking for lotions, potions, old wives tales and scientific cures for snoring to help me and my man. We’ve tried pretty much every decongestant/throat numbing spray on the market as well as mouth guard-type contraptions/special support pillows designed to keep the airway open as well as constantly monitoring sleeping positions (always on the side, never on the back etc.)
Does anyone have any other tips, advice or know of any porducts we could look into next? It’d be really nice if we didn’t have to sleep in seperate bedrooms anymore! Thank you in advance.
Thanks E, you douchebag.
Serious answers only please.
You need to see a sleep specialist – it’s likely that you need to get a CPAP device
My 5 roommates say im snoring while I sleep so they wake me up and yells at me to stop snoring every time I do it. I understand that It can be annoying but I offered to buy them earplugs and I wanted to get a humidifier because we live in Upstate NY and the winter is very dry but they told me the humidifier would make the rooms too humid and uncomfortable. Also the other problem we have is they are mad at me because I called the cops on them because 3 of them were selling drugs in the Apartment. I don’t do that and never have. They called me Judas and said I’m a prick for calling the cops. Also my lease isn’t up until May what can I do to get more sleep take a sleep aid. I go to bed around 10:30 and most of them go to bed between 3-4 so were on different sleep cycles. Help
Let them be angry. You live there and they should respect your lifestyle. They failed to do so.You could’ve got into serious trouble. You did the right thing. Snoring isn’t the problem. They are being asses. My suggestion is to bring the issue to the attention of your landlord or whoever you lease from. May is a long way from now to deal with this type of drama.
