can't sleep snoring
He can’t stop snoring, I can’t sleep HELP? Any suggestions?

He needs to see a doctor and get a sleep study done to find out what is causing it. He may have something like sleep apnea or sinus problems causing it. Make a doc appointment so this gets checked out and treated or suggestions made as to how to treat it.

has anyone ever had a dog with a stuffy nose?

all of a sudden my female spitz has startting snoring like crazy & it sounds like her nose is stuffed up.
Has anyone ever had a dog with this? I’ve never experienced it & I’ve had dogs my whole life. What could be wrong?
*also, it’s not just when she’s sleeping but when she’s awake

it could be age, weight or something but it needs to be checked by a vet, don’t want to scare you and not trying to give a diagnosis or anything but she could possibly have developed a growth or tumor in the sinus or airway so just to be safe get it checked now,

Have you ever heard a dog snoring as LOUD as this one?

dental snoring devices

Keeping dental device in at night?

I bought an anti-snore mouthpiece, and it works WONDERS! That is, until it falls out of my mouth when I’m asleep.

Would it be ok to use some kind of adhesive product like Polident to help keep it on my teeth so it doesnt fall out?

Is polident safe when exposed to teeth?

Thanks!!

Do not apply adhesives or anything else to your anti snore appliance because it will be a BIG mess. The way to stop it from falling out is to train yourself to not spit it out while asleep and all you need to do is to put it in about an hour or so before going to bed until the appliance stays in your mouth all night.

baby snoring at night

baby snoring at night
19 month old STILL waking up at night!?

My son just turned 19 months today and he still wakes up at night. He wasn’t a pacifier baby instead a bottle baby. So to him his bottle of milk at night is his paci. He didn’t wake up last night but im sure he’s going to wake up tonight. I did the horrible thing of allowing him to go to bed with the bottle, if you are just going to put me down about that go else where!

He wakes up screaming and crying not just a little cry. Im not going to do the cry it out method because it hasn’t seemed to work and plus since he screams and cries i know the people next door who share a wall with his room can hear him because i can hear them snoring!!!

What are some methods to “train” him to self sooth and even to not wake up anymore? He does sleep with blankies and his monkey…

Firstly I completely sympathise with you it’s not easy, particularly when you have the added pressure of neighbours.

My daughter didn’t sleep through the night until she was three.

I think however you definitely need to stop the bottle in cot, just because it’s bad for his teeth if nothing else.. You will need to work on this over a week.

Take him up to his room let him have his bottle outside his crib, maybe whilst you sing him a lullaby or read to him. Then when you put him in his cot say hello Mr Monkey and night night bottle. Get him to participate in saying this. If he fusses just keep repeating that the bottle was very tired and has gone night night and so should he.

He will fuss, the first few nights but if you don’t give in this will pass after a week. he will cry, babies do.

Go to your neighbours and worn them that you are trying to sleep train your child and that their might be a week or so of extra crying/fussing.

Go to him when he wakes in the middle of the night and say, that the bottle is sleeping and MR Monkey needs a cuddle. he will definitely cry and fuss the first three nights, but things will get easier. Just stay strong.

Hope this helps.

snoring weight loss
snoring…ugh…?

my mom has a really bad problem with snoring and she sleeps right next door to me. she is a little heavy and stocky, but i need a solution other than weight loss. much appreciated

She needs to really see a doctor. It maybe affecting her health but sometimes you can get them to go. I suggest talking to her about it. If she can not go or can not afford to go, maybe try one of those sprays for snoring or they have nosestrips that will make her breath easier.
You might be surprised at how she may think it was kind of you to help her,
My Mom used to have bad breath and in church you couldn’t stand it. She went to the dentist and had a good cleaning and she really takes good care of herself now. (We were only 6 when we told her.LOl) She tells us today she was glad we did cause with others she may have been emberassed.
other option wear ear plugs (they have various kinds that are comfortable )at the drug store or places where you or someone works) and/or shut your door

Quick fix for a cold?

Okay, I realize the only way to actually get rid of a pesky little cold virus is to rest, drink fluids, and wait it out. What I want to know are the best techniques, medications, herbal remedies, etc. for temporary relief of my symptoms.

My symptoms are a stuffed up/running nose, fatigue, and a minor sore throat. Tomorrow, I have a date! Not only that, but it is the first time I am spending the night at his place! I do not want to cancel, because that has already happened once before and I don’t want him to think I am making excuses!

So what I need is to get rid of my symptoms to have an enjoyable evening, and I would also like to know if there is a way to get rid of my congestion for the entire night so that I do not snore or breath through my mouth and drool, as I tend to do when I am sick. How embarrassing would that be?!

Please help! Let me know your quick fixes, no matter how obvious or bizarre they may be! If it works for you, I wanna know! Thanks!

Help…I’m worried about my cat!?

My cat is very overweight. She is 2 1/2 years old and weights 21 lbs. I feed her special food for cats that need to diet (and have been feeding this food to her for over a year). I also got a second cat in hopes that this would keep her more active rather than sleeping all day. I play with her with the laser pointer when I can. She just doesn’t seem to be losing any weight. Her breathing sounds labored and she snores. What can I do to help her lose weight? I love her and want her to live for as long as possible.

Definitely take her to the vet. If you’ve changed her diet and aren’t giving her a bigger portion (some people change to protein-rich foods with less carbs but then feed the cat more b/c it is hungrier) then she could have a thyroid disorder or something like it.

Don’t worry yet; some things that make a tubby cat are easily remedied by a daily or weekly pill. Only your vet can tell you for sure.
