My 5 roommates say im snoring while I sleep so they wake me up and yells at me to stop snoring every time I do it. I understand that It can be annoying but I offered to buy them earplugs and I wanted to get a humidifier because we live in Upstate NY and the winter is very dry but they told me the humidifier would make the rooms too humid and uncomfortable. Also the other problem we have is they are mad at me because I called the cops on them because 3 of them were selling drugs in the Apartment. I don’t do that and never have. They called me Judas and said I’m a prick for calling the cops. Also my lease isn’t up until May what can I do to get more sleep take a sleep aid. I go to bed around 10:30 and most of them go to bed between 3-4 so were on different sleep cycles. Help
Let them be angry. You live there and they should respect your lifestyle. They failed to do so.You could’ve got into serious trouble. You did the right thing. Snoring isn’t the problem. They are being asses. My suggestion is to bring the issue to the attention of your landlord or whoever you lease from. May is a long way from now to deal with this type of drama. Inform your leasing office asap
My husband’s snoring is awful… so noisy it wakes me up each and every night. You can hear in all around the house. I am 24 weeks pregnant and seem to disappear off to the spare room each night!
It may sound funny but it really isn’t. I want to sleep with my husband in the same bed and cant at the moment and worry i will never be able to especially when the baby comes..
Does anyone have any experience about snoring cures. We asked the doctor but they just gave him a spray which doesn’t work. He does smoke which drives me mad (not in the house I hasten to add), and I am nagging him to stop, and I know this only makes it worse. Has anyone tried the mouth guards (not sure what you would call them). They cost quite a bit and I’m reluctant to fork out for them if they done work….
Please help….. sleep needed!
Hi Awww i feel sorry for you, i know what this is like before my husband and i separated he snored all night every night very loud and i was so tired because of it. I do not know if you are in UK, but Ormskirk Hospital have been doing an injection it was on the North West news and it stops snoring, and the best thing is it only costs around £4.00 and lasts for over 12 months ask your doctor if your husband can have it. There are the breathe right strips that open the nose, but apparently it’s something in the back of the throat that causes it. I reaaly hope that you can get some sleep soon.

With millions of people around the world who are affected by snoring, many of them would like to know the answer to this big question, not only those who snore at night, but also those who sleep with someone who snores. So what is the best Anti Snoring Device? This article will discuss in great detail the best three Anti Snoring Devices on the market today starting with the third.
Anti Snoring Device – Surgery
Although this is really not an Anti Snoring Device but rather a procedure, it still cures snoring. With surgery, a surgeon identify the problem leading to the snoring and may remove tonsils, adenoids, or any excess tissue at the back of the throat or inside of the nose. The surgeon may even go as far as reconstructing the jaw to expand the upper airway, by so doing, help stop the snoring. The problem with this form of Anti Snoring Device or procedure is that, although it may work for some people, it still carries the normal risks and complications associated with all surgeries carry. This is the least favored form of Anti Snoring Device or procedure for most people.
Anti Snoring Device – CPAP Machine
A CPAP machine (Continuous positive airway pressure machine) is a Anti Snoring Device that works for most people. A CPAP machine provides the snorer with pressurized air into their lungs which prevents their airways from collapsing and causing them to snore. There are usually two main drawbacks to using a CPAP machine. The first is definitely the cost. A CPAP device cost up to $1000 or more which is quite expensive for most people. The second fact is the potential discomfort it can cause to the person that wears the mask.
The Best Anti Snoring Device – Sleeping Jaw Supporter
The very best Anti Snoring Device, is to use a Sleeping Jaw Supporter. Snoring research has shown that a Sleeping Jaw Supporter, keeps the lower jaw in an upward position and increases the three dimensional space in the airway, this reduces air velocity and soft tissue vibration. These actions can eliminate or substantially reduce snoring. This is the most cost-effective form of Anti Snoring Device on the market today that can effectively help you stop snoring. Stop Snore Ring? (please, only those who have actually used it or know someone who has used it)?
Has anyone had any success with the Stop Snore Ring ( http://stopsnorering.com )? Please, no worthless BS answers from those who only “think” it is or might be bogus. I would like answers only from those who have actually had experience with it (tried it before or knows someone who has tried it before). The Stop Snore Ring is quite inexpensive, so I would prefer to start there in finding a remedy, before looking to more expensive snoring aids or seeing my doctor.

Snoring disturbs your own sleep and annoys your partner. It afflicts 25% of men and women younger than 40 and more than 50% of the older population. It is no wonder that there are over 300 products on the market which claim to cure snoring. Unfortunately, most of these products may not work for you. Snoring is caused when the throat relaxes during sleep so that the air flow from breathing causes the throat tissues to vibrate. Other snorers suffer from a serious condition called obstructive sleep apnea which occurs when the throat constricts during sleep and causes a person to stop breathing. Blocked nasal passages or inherited traits such as a long uvula or floppy soft palette also lead to snoring. The problem faced by snoring consumers is that products to stop snoring may work for one person but not another. Therefore, before purchasing any category of product listed below, you need to determine why you snore, especially since over-the-counter products do not cure sleep apnea. For those who only snore when they sleep on their backs, special shirts or pillows are the least expensive cure. You can either purchase a shirt with a tennis ball sewed into the back, or pin a ball to one of your own shirts. The ball painfully prods you when you roll onto your back during sleep, prompting you to turn to your side. There are also special pillows designed to stop you from rolling onto your back. If changing your sleeping position doesn’t work, and your snoring is not caused by sleep apnea, the most effective non-surgical treatment is a mouthpiece or mouth guard. This appliance will position your tongue and palette so that it provides a larger passage for air flow. Mouthpieces can be purchased on-line, at a drug store, or can be custom made by a dentist. The least effective snoring treatment is any spray which claims to prevent snoring by softening or moistening the throat. Snoring is not caused by a dry throat so the sprays do nothing to stop the problem and may have undesirable side effects. Those relying on natural methods can purchase aromatherapy or acupressure devices although there is no medical evidence that they work. The 10% of individuals whose snoring is caused by blocked nasal passages can choose from external or internal nasal dilators. The least expensive product is the nasal strip, which is a piece of adhesive worn over the bridge of the nose while sleeping. An internal dilator is a flexible piece of plastic which opens the nose from the inside. It effectively decreases snoring volume, but is uncomfortable to use. With all the anti-snoring products on the market, it is tempting to try sprays, gel strips, or magic rings. However, if one wants results, the most effective products to stop snoring are either dental mouthpieces or products designed to help you sleep on your side. If your snoring is caused by blocked nasal passages, nasal dilators can reduce snoring. Other products may have attractive packaging, and alluring testimonials, but only affect your pocketbook, not your snoring.
What works better for sleep apnea? The chin strap or the mouthpiece?
My husband wakes me up just about every night b/c when I snore I all of a sudden stop breathing. Majority of the time I wake up with headaches and sometimes I am fatigue. I clearly have sleep apnea & was just wondering if anyone knows which works best of the chin strap or mouthpiece to stop the snoring & help with the sleep apnea. I wanted to try this first before visiting the doctor. ~Thank you
visit your doctor and have a sleep study done. you’ll probablt need a cpap machine and they have to tell you what pressure it should be set at. A sleep study you just go in and spend the night while they monitor your sleep. I have tried all masks and the full face is best for me. Once you get used to it you won’t know your wearing it. you’ll never go to sleep without it again.
