deviated nasal septum snoring

I suspect I have a deviated septum, What do you think?

I always feel partially stuffed up and therefore breath primarily through my mouth (sometimes causing sore-throats). I’ve always been told that I snore and as of 2 years ago, that I make a clicking noise when I sleep. When the nasal congestion is high, sometimes I hear a “popping” noise in one of my nostrils (I have no idea what causes this). It sounds like a bubble bursting. About 3 years ago I developed allergies/hay fever. I suffered with allergies for about 2 years. At first it was mild, seasonal allergies. My sister also developed allergies in her teens. At its worst I was sneezing at least 19 times a day, had itchy/watery eyes etc. The doctor gave me steroid nose spray and that helps, but I’m still stuffed up (usually on one side). I think I’ve always had a deviated septum but can it get worse with age with no obvious trauma to the nose? I don’t know of any significant trauma to my nose. Could I have worsened the deviation to the point it is now by my severe sneezing?

Typical symptoms of a deviated septum are
* Blockage of one or both nostrils
* Nasal congestion, sometimes one-sided
* Frequent nosebleeds
* Frequent sinus infections
* At times, facial pain, headaches, postnasal drip
* Noisy breathing during sleep

Based on what you have described you may or may not have a deviated septum.

Many allergy suffers have nasal polyps which may also be the cause of your troubles.

You should get checked out by an ear, nose, throat (ENT) specialist to correctly diagnose and treat your symptoms.
