Is it weird the only movies I enjoy are ones about serial killers, drugs, or disease?
i think chick flicks are total snores…action movies are just boob fests and muscle brain pissing contests….romance is putrid…..i only like documentary style movies about the worst things in the world…wtf…does that make me mental or something??
i enjoy reading books about serial killers as well. i find them so fascinating…i don’t condone what they’ve done, hell no! but….still….i believe you’re right whomever said its an interesting insight to the cannibalistic or animalistic human condition.
You sound like someone who is intelligent and wants to be an informed watcher. You don’t find any pleasure in a formulaic plot.
Maybe the movies you watch give you more insight into the human condition. And not just the fluffy bits.
I would suggest that this go in another category though. The word ‘mental’ is pretty loaded, and it’s a hard life if you have a real mental illness.
I’m sure you didn’t mean it that way.
