exercise snoring

Does regular cardio exercises help reduce snoring?
I recently got disciplined enough to regularly do my exercises for about 40 minutes daily. In the past this urge to exercise wouldn’t last for more than 4-5 days. This time around, I have been doing since about 1 month. So I am sure that this will continue forever.
While I am seeing a lot of known benefits of exercising, I also observed that I have not been feeling sleepy during the day-time. In the past, a 30-minutes meeting was enough to make me drowsy. I am aware of the fact that I have been snoring a lot and that this causes sleep apnea and hence fatigue during day-time. So I am wondering if my exercising has cleared up fats in the neck area and hence reduced snoring?
Has there been any research on the effect of exercises on snoring?
I doubt it but it wouldnt hurt to do some exercise and find out.
