Woke up with chest pain and shallow breathing?
I am 21 years old, 6′1 and 190 pounds. This morning I woke up with what I would call severe chest pains. I got out of my bed and was very disoriented and thought I was about to die from a heart attack with a pain in my chest I had never felt before along with a hard time breathing. I quickly grabbed a bottle of gatorade and drank a few sips and as sudden as the pain came, it went away. Was I having a small heart attack or something? I would consider myself pretty healthy, I run and workout 3 times a week. Also, I have snored ever since I had tonsillitis 2 years ago, if this could have anything to do with it.
If I were you, I’d go to a hospital as soon as possible. It could be serious, and worse case scenario, as you said, you could be having heart problems.
If you can’t afford to go to a hospital or if you don’t have insurance, then I would go to a local family care office. There, they can at least do simple testing and hopefully find out what’s going on with you.
