snoring elevate bed

Is taking 40 mg of ambien a lethal dosage?
A friend of mines is sleeping over. I knew he took ambien. However, 20 mins ago he took 40mg of ambien. I noticed he was acting weird when I got out the shower. He could barely move and his eyes were shut. He was slumped over on my coffee table. I kept asking him whats wrong. I asked him what medication did he take. He sluggishly replied his sleeping meds. I asked how many did he take and he said 4. He’s in my bed right now. I had to carry him the best way I could since I’m only 5′1 130lbs and he’s 5′9 230lbs. I yelled and told him I’m calling 911 he kepts saying no. I called my mother who is a nurse and she said since he wont go to the hospital keep him awake and give him some coffee. She also said to keep his head elevated, which I am. He’s snoring his *** off right now.
Don’t give him coffee. When someone overdoses, it quite often increases the heart rate, and coffee is a stimulant so they don’t go well together.
Call 911. It’s that simple and non negociable. You call 911 tell them what your friend took, and the approximate amount and tell them that your friend is very lethargic, and has their eyes shut and can barely speak properly. They’ll send you help right away.
I’ve overdosed in the past and peopla have called 911 on me and when the police and ambulance got to my house, I was unconscious and couldn’t be woken up at all. I’m 24 years old and I’ve been in two coma’s over the past year due to overdoses. The other time, I overdosed, fell asleep, woke up choking on my own blood… and luckily my boyfriend who works as an EMT came home and after that I have no idea what happened. Woke up in the hospital a few days later
